A police pursuit that started on Interstate 44 ended in a collision in the front yard of a Tulsa residence. Two drivers were arrested as a result.

Police said it started when an OHP trooper tried to stop two vehicles speeding on I-44. TPD was dispatched to the pursuit, where it had moved to the area of 41st and Riverside, and got a call about a collision on the corner of East 45th Court and Riverside.

When police arrived OHP had one vehicle stopped and the driver in custody.

Police said a white Mustang had crashed into the front yard of a residence and OHP followed the other car. After the crash, the driver exited the car and fled on foot, eastbound down East 45th Court.

The crashed white Mustang was reported stolen, police said.

Officers canvassed the area and found the driver of that car and arrested him.

No one was injured and the vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence sustained only minor damage in the crash.

Police said it appeared the two vehicles were together, rather than chasing each other, but they wouldn't know for sure what the situation was until the investigation is complete.
