A Tulsa man turned himself in at the Tulsa County jail Sunday on a first-degree manslaughter warrant stemming from a 2011 incident that claimed a boy's life.

Tulsa Police say Abraham McDavid was driving in the 4700 block of South Union at 7:25 p.m. on October 29, 2011, when his car struck 11-year-old Adrian Spencer Hardridge Jr. who was riding a skateboard in the street.

The boy was taken to a Tulsa hospital and died on November 4, 2011.

Police say McDavid was driving under suspension at the time of the incident. Police say his driver's license had expired in 2009.

Tulsa Police finished their investigation into the incident in December, 2011. McDavid was charged on October 26, 2012, and a warrant issued for his arrest.

McDavid remains in the Tulsa County jail. He has a court hearing for December 10th.
