A Beggs man is dead in an overnight motorcycle crash in Wagoner County. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say Alan Hogue was driving the wrong way in the eastbound lane when he hit a pickup truck head on.

The wreck took place just before 12:30 a.m. Thursday about two miles east of State Highway 16 on East 760 Road in Wagoner County.

Troopers say Hogue, 38, was westbound in the eastbound lanes of East 760 Road on a 2004 Yamaha dirt bike. He hit a 2008 Ford pickup driven by 30-year-old Benjamin Haff of Wagoner. Haff refused treatment at the scene, according to a collision report.

Hogue died at Wagoner City Hospital. Troopers say he had the odor of alcohol on his person. He was not wearing a helmet.
