While the number of West Nile cases in humans is leveling off, the number of cases in horses is on the rise.
At the end of August there were just two cases reported in horses. Now, there are 39.
A state veterinarian isn't sure what's caused the spike, so he's recommending people get their animals vaccinated.
This has been a record year for cases in people, with 12 deaths so far.
