Hurricane Sandy is impacting folks here in Oklahoma in unexpected ways.
For example, the storm is keeping the Tulsa County Election Board busy.
The office received nearly 40 calls Tuesday from people asking if they'll be able to vote, since they're on the East Coast helping with hurricane victims.
The election board says the best option is to call for an absentee ballot by Wednesday at 5 p.m.
"That's only going to help if the voter knows exactly where they're going to be for the ballot to be mailed to them," said Shelly Boggs, with the Tulsa County Election Board.
Early voting is Friday and Monday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
