Forty Public Service Company of Oklahoma utility workers will leave sometime Sunday for Maryland to assist in restoring electric service following Hurricane Sandy.

PSO tells News On 6, the Oklahoma workers will be working alongside Baltimore Gas & Electric crews when they get to Maryland.

BGE says their workers plus those from Oklahoma will be working ‘around-the-clock" to restore electric service following power outages as soon as it is safe to do so.

The utility says linemen, tree personnel and support staff from a number of states have answered the call for assistance in advance of Hurricane Sandy.
