Game day traffic and construction on the Turner Turnpike are causing travel delays. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is diverting westbound traffic at Exit 158 near Wellston.

Westbound vehicles are being diverted onto State Highway 66 to Interstate 35 in Edmond, according to Sooner fan Debbie Barrick.

Traffic is slow but is moving, she said.

The highway is down to one lane at Wellston due to bridge construction, causing traffic to back up. Griffin Communications Vice President of Technology Jon Schilberg, who was eastbound on I-44 early Saturday afternoon, said you could see a long line of cars with OU flags waiting in line.

Sooner fans who are heading to Norman may want to try alternative routes. Game time with Notre Dame is 7 p.m.
