Depew Man Dead After Truck Hits Tree, Overturns

A Depew man is dead after a Sunday afternoon crash near Mounds in Creek County.

The collision took place just before 4 p.m. on 201st Street South, approximately one mile west of Oklahoma.

Lynn Ed Holland, 52, was driving a 2008 Ford F250 when he failed to negotiate a curve, departed the roadway to the right, overcorrected and departed to the left. The pickup struck a ditch, went airborne and struck a tree, coming to rest on its top, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's collision report.

Holland was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, OHP said.
