Tulsa Police Chase Teenage Driver To Sand Springs

A Sand Springs teenager was detained after leading Tulsa Police officers on a chase from Tulsa to Sand Springs early Wednesday morning.

Officers tried to pull the unidentified 16-year-old over on the Inner Dispersal Loop just before 3:00 a.m.

The driver took off, leading police all the way to Sand Springs.

Tulsa Police say the teen told officers once he noticed the number of police cars pursuing him; he simply pulled over and surrendered.  He said he was just headed home from Tulsa.

Police took the teenager to the police station and called his parents.
