Skelly Elementary Teacher Suspended After 5-Year-Olds Wander From School

A Tulsa Public Schools teacher has been suspended after kindergartners disappeared from school for three hours.

Two 5-year-old girls at Skelly Elementary left the school during recess Thursday afternoon.

Employees at a nearby car dealership called police after they found the two girls playing in a drainage ditch.

The girls told school officials they left to go to a McDonald's down the street.

TPS officials say the suspended teacher did not follow school procedures.
