Folks in downtown Tulsa were treated to free snow cones Friday.
The event raised awareness for "New Hope," a local organization dedicated to helping children whose parents are in jail.
They were accepting donations, but primarily wanted to inform people of their mission.
Oklahoma has the highest incarceration rate for women in the nation.
"And not only are they separated from their caregivers but we know that they're going to have behavioral, academic, and emotional issues that go along with having a parent that's incarcerated," said Lindsay Fry-Geier, of New Hope Oklahoma.
