The Presidential Lecture Series for the University of Tulsa for 2012-2013 includes a world-renowned conductor, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and a critically acclaimed biologist.

The lecture series is sponsored by the Darcy O'Brien Endowed Chair.

The first speaker is musician and conductor Michael Tilson Thomas. He will speak November 27 at Lorton Performance Center.

Robert Caro, who wrote biographies on Lyndon Johnson and Robert Moses, will speak on February 12 at the Allen Chapman Activity Center and Dr. Robert Sapolsky, science writer, biologist and neuroscientist will speak on April 4 at the Allen Chapman Activity Center.

TU says all of the speaking engagements are free and open to the public and begin at 7:30 p.m.
