A 31-year-old man was taken to a Tulsa hospital early Monday following a shootout with security guards at a North Tulsa apartment complex.
Tulsa Police say the shooting took place just before 1 a.m. at the Comanche Park Apartments at 36th Street North and Quaker.
Police got a call about shots fired in the complex.
Two security guards at the complex also heard the shots and when they confronted the shooter, identified as Frankie Foster moments later, gunshots were exchanged.
Tulsa Police say Foster was hit multiple times.
EMSA took Foster to a hospital in critical condition.
Police say a security guard was taken to the hospital to be checked out as well.
Tulsa Police are investigating.
A check with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections shows Foster had been released from prison in late March after serving a sentence out of Tulsa County on a possession of firearm conviction.
