Van Damaged In Crash On Tulsa Highway

Alcohol may have been a factor in a crash on the Sand Springs Expressway just west of downtown Tulsa early Thursday, according to the OHP.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a van had just exited the IDL headed west on Highway 412 at about 1 a.m. when it apparently struck something in the road.

Troopers say the impact also caused the van's passenger side air bags to deploy.

EMSA paramedics checked out the driver and his passenger, but did not transport them to a hospital.

The OHP is investigating.
