Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett has resigned his position as a member of the board of directors of the Grand River Dam Authority.

Bartlett said his job as mayor has caused him to miss too many meetings and doesn't allow him enough time to read over materials he then has to vote on.

He said his resignation is in the best interest of the state agency and that he has complete confidence in Dan Sullivan as the CEO of GRDA.

Former Representative Sullivan has recently been criticized for moving some of GRDA's operations from more rural parts of the state to Tulsa.
