Local and federal authorities in Muskogee say a 46-year-old man who disappeared last week is being sought in connection with an October 2009 incident.

Ronald Sanders is wanted on charges of first degree burglary and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Muskogee County Sheriff's Office investigator Faye Banks says Sanders was first reported missing last week.

A check of court records showed he was wanted on the two charges. Those records say Sanders entered a Muskogee home and assaulted a juvenile in that home with a baseball bat.

Banks says Sanders recently returned from Florida to visit someone in Muskogee and last Friday a missing persons report was filed.

U.S. Marshals told Muskogee County they were actively looking for Sanders because of the 2009 arrest warrant.

Sanders is a white male, 5 feet 6 inches, 155 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair.

Banks says they are trying to determine first if Sanders is alive and second, where he is.

If anyone has information about Ronald Sanders, they are asked to call Muskogee Police, Muskogee County Sheriff's Office or the U.S. Marshal's Office in Muskogee.
