Jimmy Cesario stepped to the plate with the bases loaded in the top of the tenth inning Monday night and promptly hit a tie-breaking, bases-clearing triple to lift the Tulsa Drillers to a 10-6 victory over the Springfield Cardinals.
Tulsa trailed 2-0 in this back-and-forth affair until the top of the fifth when Corey Dickerson's two-run homer propelled a six-run inning for Tulsa.
Springfield answered right back in the sixth when Xavier Scruggs doubled in three runners to cut the Tulsa lead to 6-5.
Springfield tied it in the eighth to send the game to extras, but Cesario refused to lose this one.
Tulsa is off Tuesday but returns home Wednesday to open a series with Frisco.
