Jamie Romak hit his fifth homer of the season in the top of the ninth inning Thursday night to lift the Springfield Cardinals to a 3-2 win over the Tulsa Drillers.
Trailing 2-0 in the fourth inning, Kent Matthes and Lars Davis both homered to tie the game at 2-2.
Tyler Chatwood kept Tulsa in the game, pitching seven innings and allowing just two runs.
Eric Fornataro pitched a scoreless eighth inning for Springfield to earn the win. Keith Butler shut the door in the ninth for his 19th save.
The Drillers will look to regain its winning ways against Arkansas on Friday night. Tulsa is just 6-6 in its last 12 games.
