The boil order issued by Braggs Public Works Authority is no longer in effect, the agency announced Friday.

The community is still under mandatory water rationing.

Low water pressure and potential contamination caused alarm earlier this summer and caused the small Muskogee County town's public works department to urge boiling water intended for human consumption.

Since June, the community's four wells have not been pumping enough water from an underground aquifer to meet demand from its 416 customers.

"The Braggs Public Works Authority cannot stress enough the need for water conservation," a bulletin said.
