The Oklahoma State Fire Marshal's Office said a 10-month-old baby died in a house fire in rural Ottawa County Sunday afternoon.

The fire occurred in a home just outside of Peoria, Oklahoma.

The Peoria Fire Department responded to the house fire around 4:40 p.m.

There, firefighters were told by family that an infant was still inside the home.

Firefighters entered the home and found 10-month-old Isaac Shores in a bassinet in one of the bedrooms. The baby was pronounced dead on the scene.

Firefighters and the fire marshal's office have determined that the fire started in the kitchen, but it is currently unknown what caused the fire.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office and Oklahoma State Fire Marshal's Office are jointly investigating the incident.

But a representative of the state fire marshal's office said they have found nothing suspicious about the fire.
