Firefighters are trying to locate a family whose home went up in flames overnight.

It happened in the 4300 block of North Frankfort Avenue about 2:30 a.m.

Firefighters said the roof caught on fire, and the flames quickly spread.

Investigators estimate the home suffered a $40,000-$50,000 loss.

It appears the fire may have started after an electrical short, TFD said.

No one was home at the time.
