More than a hundred people hopped on their hogs to help out local families struggling with muscular dystrophy.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association's poker run took place Saturday morning in Tulsa.

Folks started at the Osage Casino and ended up at Myers-Duren Harley Davidson, 4848 S. Peoria Ave.

"I think the thing that made it the best for us today was the weather cooperated," rider Heather Mathias said. "It was just a light sprinkle, but overall the weather, it kept the temperatures down."

The preliminary count shows at least $8,000 raised.

That money goes to help the more than 500 families dealing with muscular dystrophy in Eastern Oklahoma.
