For the second time this week, police were attacked by a group of juveniles shooting fireworks right at them in north Tulsa.

It happened again around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

The fireworks hit at least one officer in the back and even hit another news crew covering the story.

Tulsa police are not sure who fired mortars and Roman candles at them, and so far, officers have made no arrests.

On Wednesday night, when this happened the first time, officers thought kids might have done this. Police say a house in the area of 200 West 63rd Street North caught fire after somebody shot fireworks at it.

The people living in that house called the police.

While news crews and police were on the scene getting more information Thursday night, police believe the group came back and retaliated on the family who told on them.

"And almost a crossfire...and begin to shoot mortar rounds at the officers and the news crews," TPD Cpl. Dan Miller said. "The reporter was hit in the back -- I was told the back of the head. And the officers...one of them got hit in the back."

Despite the attack, no one was seriously hurt.

Police set up a perimeter check very quickly and even sent up a helicopter, but they couldn't find the group.
