All over Green Country, people geared up to light up the night sky Wednesday afternoon.

In Jenks, a local business got in the holiday spirit by giving back to the men and women who have been injured fighting for our freedom.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a project created for those who have been injured while serving our country.

Wednesday evening, Fitness Together is threw a special party to benefit the project.

The business offered free sparklers or balloons to anyone who made a donation to the cause.

Michael Watkins, the owner of Fitness Together said they were hoping people would donate either money or items for care packages.

"Anything that could really help our troops remember home. Something that we a lot of times take for granted, like … toiletries and stuff—like anything you find as a comfort in your home, I'm sure is comfort over there," Watkins said.

The "Celebrate with a Bang" party is being held here in the Fitness Together parking lot, near the fireworks show in Jenks.

"We've been at this spot for six years and we've never done this, and we saw the outpouring of people that tried to park in the parking lot that came down for the show and thought, ‘Hey, why don't we use this to our advantage to raise awareness for the wounded warriors.'"

There will be music and games from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday evening.
