A teenage driver was arrested after plowing through a street sign early Saturday morning in midtown Tulsa.

The single-car wreck took place at about 3:45 a.m. at 36th Street and Gary.

Zane Kendrick Warden, 18, was turning eastbound on 36th Street when he lost control of his Audi, broadsided a utility pole and hit the street sign. The car came to a stop with airbags deployed and a spring knocked from the rear suspension.

Warden was unhurt, but he was arrested for driving under the influence, under age 21. He had a blood alcohol content of .19, according to an arrest report.

Officers found beer cans in and around the wrecked vehicle.
