Police Arrest Man After Neighbor Spots Him Stealing From Tulsa Home

Tulsa Police credit an alert neighbor for the arrest of a burglary suspect Thursday in the 1900 block of North Birmingham Place.

A caller told police that the occupants of a home were out of town, but people were carrying items out of the house.

The first officer on the scene saw a man run from the house to a nearby home.  When back-up arrived, the officer was able to arrest Nicholas Simmons, 22.

Simmons was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of 2nd degree burglary, resisting arrest and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Bond was set at $11,500.
