Former Oklahoma State University wide receiver Justin Blackmon has been charged with one count of aggravated DUI, a misdemeanor, in Payne County District Court.
Blackmon pleaded not guilty before a judge on Monday. He is due back in court July 24.
According to an affidavit filed with the court, Blackmon was arrested by Stillwater Police early Saturday morning after an SUV he was driving was clocked going 60 in a 35-mph zone and driving left of center several times.
After stopping the SUV, the police officer stated when he approached the driver's window, he immediately noticed the smell of an alcoholic beverage and Blackmon's slurred speech.
He said the former OSU football star was very unsteady on his feet during the field sobriety test.
Blackmon was also argumentative, saying "I just flew in, I don't know why you're harassing me," according to the report. Blackmon also had trouble following simple instructions, and the officer had to tell him to keep his hands out of his pockets four times.
The officer placed Blackmon under arrest and took him to the Payne County jail.
At the jail, Blackmon was given a breathalyzer test which indicated a blood alcohol content of .24. The legal limit is .08.
Stillwater Police say Blackmon was alone in the SUV at the time.
Blackmon was the No. 5 pick in the NFL Draft this spring.
