Prosecutors in LeFlore County say they will seek the death penalty for a Muldrow man charged with the shooting deaths of his parents in July 2011.
Kevin Statham is charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Paul and Helen Statham outside of their home in Bokoshe.
After killing the couple, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says Statham stole several items from the home and drove to North Dakota in his parents' pickup truck.
He was arrested several days later at a friend's home in that state.
He remains in the Leflore County jail without bond. His trial is set to being on October 29, 2012.
