Well-Known Film Producer Addresses Oral Roberts Graduating Class

He's the man behind some of Hollywood's biggest movies, and he's in Tulsa talking shop.

Ralph Winter has produced 25 films, and Saturday he shared some of his experiences and secrets with the graduating class at Oral Roberts University.

You may not know his name or recognize his face, but his work you will know.

Ralph Winter is a Hollywood film producer. His blockbuster hits have grossed more than $2 billion.

"I've been fortunate to work on some big movies," Winter said. "I've been kind of in the right place, right time.

His work includes Star Trek, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Left Behind, just to name a few. Now Winter can add commencement speaker to his resume.

He gave graduating seniors at Oral Roberts University his words of wisdom.

"You may want to infect the world for God's kingdom, but it's your story that's important," Winter told the graduating class. "Your willingness to go on that same hero's journey is what life is about."

Winter has worked alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood. But through the glitz and glamour, he's somehow managed to stay grounded and reliant on his faith.

"Who we are and how we act toward others speaks a lot about what that faith inside is all about," Winter said.

After years of working for Hollywood studios, Winter is now venturing out on his own with several movies in the works.

He says whether he's making sci-fi, action or faith based films, his goal is to reach a wide audience.
