Rocky Mountain Sheep Sculpture Finds Home At Tulsa Turkey Mountain

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep has taken up a spot on Tulsa's Turkey Mountain.

It's the latest bronze NatureWorks sculpture to go up near the Arkansas River at 71st and Elwood. NatureWorks donors dedicate a new wildlife sculpture somewhere in Tulsa County once a year.

NatureWorks is an all-volunteer Tulsa organization devoted to supporting wildlife projects including developing wildlife preserves, introducing wildlife to new habitats and providing educational opportunities on sharing land with wildlife.

In addition to the sculptures that can be found at several Tulsa parks, NatureWorks has assisted with Oklahoma wetlands projects, hiking trails and other programs that assist Oklahoma wildlife.
