The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office arrested eight men Friday night for allegedly dealing drugs in the county.

The eight men have been booked in the Wagoner County Jail. The arrests come as part of a six-month long undercover operation to get drug dealers off the streets.

Chained and shackled together, officers walked the alleged drug dealers from the police department to the county jail. Wagoner County Sheriff Bob Colbert says for months, undercover officers have been buying drugs off these dealers at bars, at homes and on the streets.

Colbert says the men were selling everything from marijuana, to cocaine, to meth. He says they even sent one officer to jail for three days to help in gaining information about where these dealers may be.

"You have to look at it. These guys are selling to our kids, our family members throughout the county, so you have to get down in the ground with snakes when you're looking for snakes. So that's what we've done and it's been very successful," said Colbert.

The District Attorney helped fund the operation. And the sheriff says it's not over yet. A new group of undercover officers is already out working track down more dealers.
