After being postponed due to rain, former Owasso star Dylan Bundy finally made his first professional start for Class A Delmarva Shorebirds Friday with a strong outing, despite coming away without a decision.
The 19-year-old pitched three innings for the Shorebirds, not allowing a hit or an earned run, striking out six – including striking out the side to open the game. Bundy was pulled at the start of the fourth inning in favor of Miguel Chalas, who gave up two hits and two earned runs, but was credited with a win.
Bundy is currently rated as the top prospect in the Baltimore Orioles' minor league system, after being drafted fourth overall in the 2011 MLB Draft.
