Tulsa Police have arrested a man they believe is linked to about 30 different burglaries in Tulsa, Broken Arrow and Owasso.

Police have been looking into this ring of recent burglaries for the past few months.

After an intense investigation, they arrested 28-year-old Steven Sanders early Wednesday morning.

"Detective Donnie Wright's been working a lot of cases where there's been some commercial burglaries in the area between [Tulsa], Broken Arrow and Owasso," Tulsa Police Corporal Gene Watkins said.

Tulsa Police started an intensive investigation that led them to 28-year-old Steven Sanders.

While they were following him early Wednesday morning, detectives say they saw him breaking into two businesses in Tulsa near 61st Street and Garnett Road and one in Broken Arrow.

"Members of patrol and detective division and police helicopters… followed him [Wednesday] and observed him doing four burgalaries," Watkins said.

While he was in the process of breaking into his fourth location, police busted him.

They say his M-O is taking a huge rock and throwing it into glass doors and windows.

One of the doors that was shattered belongs to the Superwrench auto shop.

"About 4 o'clock in the morning, I got a phone call from the alarm company telling me that my alarm had been triggered," Superwrench owner Kevin Medlin said.

When Medlin got to his shop, he didn't know what he was going to find.

"The detective came inside with me," Medlin said. "We walked around and didn't find anything missing; however, it looked like he had attempted to steal one of our computer monitors. Other than that, we had a broken front door from a big rock."

It isn't the first time Sanders has been in trouble with the law.

He has lengthy record dating back to 2003.

In fact, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections says he is currently on probation for a burglary conviction in Rogers County.

He's also been convicted of the same crime in Tulsa and Wagoner Counties.

Police say when they arrested Sanders, they found wads of cash in his boxers and stolen property in his car.

Sanders is in the Tulsa County Jail on several burglary complaints.

His bond is set at $800,000.
