Body Of Missing Man Found In Rural Ottawa County

The body of an Arkansas man who has been missing since January was found in Ottawa County Tuesday.

The body of an Arkansas man who has been missing since January was found in Ottawa County Tuesday.

The body of Beau Pierce, 31, was discovered in the eastern part of the county off State Highway 10.

Pierce was last seen the night of January 24, 2012, leaving a Seneca, Missouri casino. Family members say casino security cameras show Pierce wandered off drunk on a very cold and rainy night.

Tribal Police and the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department searched the area, and an online campaign was launched asking users for help in finding Pierce.

Ottawa County authorities are calling Pierce's death suspicious and have asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for help.

Sheriff's deputies and OSBI agents conducted numerous interviews of those living in the area and his family members.

The state medical examiner's office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
