Tulsa Teen Takes Mom's Car For A Spin, Wrecks

A teenager rolled his mother's car over on I-44 after he fell asleep at the wheel, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-44 near where the interstate splits with I-244.

After he fell asleep, the car left the highway, hit a light pole, rolled once and came to rest in a ditch, according to the OHP.

The OHP says the teen was borrowing his mom's car because his recently broke down.  The driver was not seriously injured.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
