Authorities are trying to identify a woman whose body was found in a Creek County field Thursday afternoon. People riding motorcycles off-road found the woman's body in a field four miles west of Sapulpa, off 209th West Avenue about a quarter mile south of U.S. Highway 33.
"Trauma to her body is consistent with a homicide," according to a release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
The Creek County Sheriff's Office requested OSBI's help in investigating the homicide.
The woman appears to be in her 30s, average height and weight with long, sandy brown hair. She was wearing a short sleeve white T-shirt with a bicycle printed on it, denim jeans and leather boots. The boots have fur around the top and rubber soles.
She also had a nicotine patch on her left shoulder.
The woman's fingerprints will be entered into a database for possible identification, but the OSBI is asking anyone who may have information about the woman to contact them at 1-800-522-8017.
