An altercation at a fast-food drive-thru in Oklahoma City led to a fatal wreck and a search for two suspects early Friday morning.
It happened at a McDonald's drive-thru at Northwest Expressway and Rockwell around 3 a.m. A black BMW driven by 20-year-old Carlos DeLacruz was waiting for an order when the car behind it, driven by 40-year-old Eric Skidgel, honked.
Police said that angered DeLacruz and two other men in the BMW, so they waited for Skidgel to leave the McDonald's. Police said when they saw Skidgel driving down the street, they tried to run him off the road.
At Wilshire and Brookside, DeLacruz's car clipped the other vehicle, but DeLacruz lost control and the BMW crashed and rolled.
DeLacruz was ejected from the BMW and killed. The two other suspects in the car ran from the scene.
Skidgel was not seriously hurt.
Police called out K9 to try to track down the two suspects, but officers could not locate them. Traffic in the area was shut down for about three hours while police investigated the fatal crash.
