Fire Destroys East Tulsa Home Early Tuesday

One home was destroyed and another damaged by fire early Tuesday morning in East Tulsa.

Tulsa Fire got the call just before 3:30 a.m. about a house fire near 181st East Avenue and Admiral.

When firefighters arrived, the fire was fully involved.

A home next door was also damaged by flames due to the strong winds.

A teenage boy in the home suffered 2nd degree burns on his right arm trying to fight the fire before firefighters arrived and a firefighter had to be treated at the scene for debris in his eye.

Both were taken to a Tulsa hospital.

Tulsa Fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
