Jury Finds Man Guilty Of March 2011 Murder In North Tulsa

A Tulsa County Court jury found a Tulsa man guilty Thursday in a March 2011 shooting death.

Jerrod Huey, 32, was arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of Johnny Dean, 33, outside a home in the 1400 block of East 52nd Street North.

Tulsa Police say Huey told investigators he shot Dean because the victim had pulled a gun on Huey's son.

The jury recommended Huey serve life in prison with the possibility for parole.

Sentencing for Huey is February 13, 2012.
