One person was killed and another injured in a multi-car pileup on Interstate 44 near Harvard.

The victim has been identified as 67-year-old Norma Edwards of Tulsa.

Oklahoma Highway Troopers responded to the westbound lanes of the interstate around 7:15 Friday evening.

Troopers say Edwards, driving a Toyota Camry, was stopped for construction near Lewis when a truck slammed into the rear of her Camry. That collision caused a chain reaction, pushing Edwards' Camry into a Nissan Pathfinder driven by Joseph Sposata, 53, of Tulsa.

Edwards was transported to a Tulsa hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck, 22-year-old Ryan Bratton, was not injured. Sposata was treated and released from a local hospital.

Troopers say all the occupants involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts.
