Science and technology students at McLain High School heard from a Guinness World Record holder Tuesday.
Barrington Irving is the youngest person to fly solo around the world. He accomplished that amazing feat at 23 years old!
He was 14 years younger than the person who previously held the record.
"It is certainly a very challenging journey with weather and a number of different situations to overcome, but I am grateful to be alive," he said.
Irving is also the first African American to fly solo around the world.
He hopes after kids hear his story, they'll be inspired to follow their own dreams and appreciate the impact math and science can have on their future.
