Green Country Business Collects Hundreds Of Coats For Needy

Thursday's weather should be absolutely beautiful. But soon enough it's going to get cold and most of us will be reaching for our winter coat.

One Green Country company wants to make sure everyone who needs a coat gets one. The folks at Tedford Insurance competed to see who could collect the most coats for "Travis Coats For Kids."

Needy Oklahomans are the real winners. Tedford employees collected a grand total of 755 coats!

"It's a neat thing to be able to do; it's a neat thing to be able to give back. It's a neat thing to see that people have a coat, especially in the cold, cold winter days," said Mike Tedford, Tedford Insurance.

You can get in on the giving too. Just take a new or gently used coat to Yale Cleaners between now and December 31st.

They'll clean it, and then give it to Catholic Charities to make sure it gets to someone who needs it.
