A flash flood watch remains in effect for several counties through late Monday night as a large storm system moves in on Eastern Oklahoma.
"Rain will be heavy at times tonight, especially to the south and east of Tulsa," said News On 6 Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer.
"There could be an urban and small stream flood advisory issued tonight during heavier rainfall."
Actual flooding, if it occurs, will be worse south and southeast of Tulsa, Meyer said.
For travelers – a few severe thunderstorms are possible from Ft. Smith to McAlester extending to Oklahoma City and areas south.
The flash flood watch is in effect for several counties including Tulsa, Rogers, Wagoner, Creek, Delaware, Mayes, Muskogee and Okmulgee.
Conditions will improve towards morning.
