University of Tulsa linebacker Curnelius Arnick has been named the Conference USA defensive player of the week after a big performance against UCF.
Arnick, a senior for the Golden Hurricane, recorded 19 tackles in Thursday's win over UCF—the most recorded in one game for a TU player since 2007.

The Dallas, Texas, native has tallied 113 tackles in nine games this year which ranks him fourth in the nation. Arnick also ranks second in the nation in solo tackles with an average of 8.56 tackles per game.
On his career, Arnick now has 310 tackles and 14 career double-figure tackle games.
This is the second straight week a Tulsa player has been honored by the conference as Milton Howell received the defensive player of the week honor in week nine.
Tulsa returns to action Saturday Nov. 12 hosting Marshall at 11 a.m. on FSN.
