TULSA, Oklahoma -- The city of Tulsa has made some changes to traffic and parking along 15th Street between Utica and Peoria.
The end result will be a doubling of the number of parking spaces.
Early Monday morning, Tulsa traffic crews were out re-marking the stretch of 15th Street also known as Cherry Street.
The street will now be a two-lane road with parking on both sides of the street.
City of Tulsa Traffic Operations Manager Mark Brown says westbound will see 30-degree angle parking from Utica to Peoria and eastbound will see parallel parking from Peoria to Utica.
Brown says the number of parking spaces will increase from 40 to 90.
He says the city is temporarily taking out the parking meters along Cherry Street and will install the new multi-space meters at a later date.
