NOWATA, Oklahoma -- A dangerous high speed chase through Nowata County ends with the discovery of a meth lab Wednesday.
Justin Chapman was arrested by Nowata Police and booked into the Nowata County Jail.
Police say the chase began when a Nowata officer spotted Chapman drive through a stop sign and then duck into an alleyway at a high rate of speed.
Police say the suspect then led authorities on a high speed chase down dirt roads and the highway. At one point, police say Chapman was traveling on the wrong side of the road on a 4 lane highway.
The half-hour long chase ended on Highway 169 and County Road 19 in Nowata County when the suspect was cornered by police.
After taking Chapman in custody, police say they found a complete meth lab in the trunk of his car. The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics was called to assist with the investigation.
Police say Chapman also had arrest warrants in Nowata and Rogers Counties.
