Tulsa Police: Three-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Struck By Car

UPDATE: Tulsa Police have released the name of the 3-year-old girl, who died after getting hit while playing in the street Wednesday evening.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police say Abinbola Higgins, 3, was transported to a Tulsa hospital after she was hit by a car in a north Tulsa neighborhood.

Higgins died after arriving at the hospital.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of North Atlanta Court.

According to Tulsa Police, Higgins was struck at the base of the driveway after riding into the street on a scooter. Police say the child was in an area where she was not visible to the driver.

The driver was not speeding and will not be cited, police said.
