Blue Star Mothers Need Mailing Info For Those Serving Overseas

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Blue Star Mothers would like to send American military people serving overseas some special Christmas presents, but they need names and addresses.

They are building Freedom Boxes with items a service man or woman would like to get, but -due to privacy laws – must rely on family members to provide them with the personal information of service personnel.

If you have a friend or loved one serving on foreign soil, send their name and address to the Oklahoma Chapter 1 of Blue Star Mothers. The Tulsa-based organization will see that those sacrificing for their country won't be overlooked during the holidays.

Donations of items or money can also be sent to that address, or you can donate at all Fox Cleaners Location, USA Sign at 92nd and Sheridan, or the Walgreens Stores at 117th and Memorial, 21st and Memorial and 31st and Harvard in Tulsa.

• Individually wrapped candy and gum
• Breakfast items
• Books, magazines
• Letter writing items
• Batteries
• Sunglasses and sunscreen
• Toilet paper, deodorant and baby wipes
• Crossword and puzzle books
• Toothpaste, tooth brushes, mouth wash and dental floss
• Lip balm and eyewash
