TULSA, Oklahoma -- Extra police officers and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers will be out in force this holiday weekend watching for drivers who've had too much to drink.
"Weather looks like it's gonna be great and so they're gonna get out and have fun. And, we want 'em to have fun. We want 'em to make that when they do it, they do it responsibly, safely and that they do get home safe," said Tulsa Police officer Craig Murray.
AAA-Oklahoma is offering an alternative to drinking and driving over the Labor Day weekend with a free ride home.
If you've had too much to drink, call 800-AAA-HELP and ask for Tipsy Tow. Someone will get you and your vehicle home safely.
Tipsy Tow is available in Tulsa, Muskogee and Bartlesville from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
