TULSA, Oklahoma -- Renovations started on the new Street School Kitchen. Students and teachers held a wall breaking ceremony Monday.
The kitchen will help teach good nutritional habits while also providing a much needed meal for some students.
We have a lot of hungry students in our school... and they don't have food to eat on the weekends or when they leave school or during holiday times," said Lori McGinnis-Maedland, Executive Director.
The quarter- million dollar renovation will feed more than 150 students and staff at the Street School. Construction should be finished by Thanksgiving.
